We've all heard that exercise is an essential part of weight loss and it's true. But there's exercise and there's exercise. If you really want your workout regimen to be let you burn more body fat, you've got to choose the kinds of exercise that will help you accomplish your purpose. You've also got to be more intense with your exercises. But that's just for starters. Here are more tips to help you really burn more body fat.

1. Move... constantly! Okay, let's start with what you do when you're not exercising. The fatter you are, the more difficult it is going to be for your body to move. And if you don’t move, you're going to keep gaining those excess fats. So before you even get there, move constantly. Take breaks in between computer times to stretch or walk around. Instead of just watching television, lift dumbbells or get on the treadmill. Just move!

2. When you exercise, really exercise! Your workout is dependent on the effort you put on it, the technique you use to make it more effective and the length of time and frequency you continue to do it for. So work every muscle of your body. Go as hard your stamina and endurance allows. The harder and longer you go, the more fats you are going to lose. For your exercise to take its desired effect, it has to be anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour for at least three times a week.

3. Go large baby! Not the soda, mind you. Exercise your large muscle groups instead of smaller isolated muscles like your arms. Focus on your chest, butt, back and abdominal muscles for that more intense burn. The larger muscles you develop, the more calories get burned for a shapelier you.

4. Put on the weight baby! There's good reason why resistance training is always included in any weight loss regimen. If you are not comfortable lifting weights, you can always use bodyweight exercises such as pull ups or push ups. Land-based high-impact exercises are better than swimming and other water-based exercises since it helps burn more body fat, provided of course, that you have no joint problems or injuries.

5. Burn, baby, burn! If you really want to burn more body fat, perform high-intensity workouts that rev up to at least 70 percent of your heart rate. When you begin to see the effects of your efforts, don't get complacent. Continue with your efforts and continue increasing your intensity so you gain even more from every workout session.

6. Interval train! Yep, interval training allows you to improve cardiovascular fitness while maximizing calorie burn even if you have only a limited time to exercise. Sprint for 30 seconds and rest by walking for another 30 seconds. Do this for 15 to 20 minutes nonstop for an even better burn.

7. Fuel up! Don’t forget to take in a sufficient number of calories an hour before your exercise session. This will give you the necessary sustenance you need to workout to burn more body fat.
